An RPZ designation ending does not automatically end a tenancy or permit an immediate rent increase. For an existing tenancy, rent-review limits may continue to apply under the legislation in force, while a new tenancy may be subject to different rent-setting rules. A landlord must still follow the required rent-review procedure and give the correct notice.
