Wexford was covered by Rent Pressure Zone rules, but from 1 March 2026 the RPZ system was replaced by a national rent-control framework. For most existing private tenancies, rent may generally be reviewed once every 12 months and increased by no more than 2% or the HICP inflation rate, whichever is lower. Different rules can apply when a new tenancy begins or where a statutory exemption applies, and the landlord must follow the required notice procedure. Check the latest guidance and rent calculator on gov.ie or the RTB website, as the outcome can depend on your tenancy’s dates and circumstances.
