The RTB Early Resolution Service is an informal process in which an RTB case officer contacts the parties, usually by phone, to help them reach an agreed solution quickly. It is generally less formal than mediation or adjudication and does not involve an adjudicator making a decision based on evidence. The service is available only for certain disputes, and participation does not guarantee that an agreement will be reached. If it is unsuccessful, the parties may be able to use another RTB dispute resolution route, subject to the RTB’s rules and applicable time limits.
