There is no single legal deadline for every repair: the landlord must arrange work within a reasonable time, depending on how serious and urgent the problem is. Issues affecting health, safety, heating, water or security should generally be addressed promptly, while minor repairs may reasonably take longer. Report the problem in writing, keep photographs and copies of messages, and allow reasonable access for the work. If it is not dealt with, you can seek help from your local authority or apply to the RTB; any outcome will depend on the facts of the individual tenancy.
