If you have nowhere safe to stay after an eviction, contact your local authority’s homeless services immediately and ask for a homelessness assessment and emergency accommodation options. Access is not automatic: the council will consider your circumstances, including whether you are homeless or at immediate risk, and its available services. If the eviction may have been unlawful, you can contact the RTB for information about dispute resolution, but this does not usually provide immediate accommodation. In an emergency, contact your local authority, a homeless support service or the Gardaí, and seek legal advice about your individual situation.
